CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, April 9, 2009 –CSG recently participated in the 2009 Chicago Flower & Garden Show at Chicago’s Navy Pier. We designed, constructed and installed “Rooftop Garden of the Future,” a contemporary rooftop garden incorporating sustainable design principles. These included a solar panel to power a drip irrigation system and high-efficiency LED landscape lighting; locally sourced deck pavers; FSC-certified woods; and environmentally benign sealers and finishes. The rooftop garden also featured top-notch furnishings, an outdoor kitchen and bar setup, water feature, sound system, trees, shrubs and perennial plantings, and custom components of wood and stone.

The installation, developed in modular form, was dismantled at the show’s conclusion and is now being installed at the company’s headquarters in Chicago’s River West neighborhood, where it will serve as a showroom and demonstration project for the company’s rooftop garden design and installation work.
