Tucked within a leafy Lakeview development sits a hidden world of home gardens flowing into and between each other. The gardens are enclosed on the perimeter by 6’ walls, but within those confines the gardens are frequently unbounded. Sightlines are longer, deeper and more nuanced. Neighbors borrow views from each other. Everyone is inspired to create and share their great garden spaces.

And residents, we suspect, are happier.

Our longtime clients wanted a second iteration of the garden we created for them 20 years ago. We removed overgrown trees and shrubs to improve views and sunlight access, expanded the bluestone patio and created a terracing to the lower garden, and revitalized plantings in the front, rear and sides of the home. New lighting and irrigation systems were installed, hydrating and highlighting the new plantings. Unique and beloved client objects were maintained and woven into the fabric of the new garden.

The result? Privacy remains, nature is enhanced, and the cherished flow between gardens lives on.
